Social work represents a deeply personal calling to serve others. From seemingly small local efforts to global change initiatives, social workers honor an innate conviction to care for the vulnerable and to facilitate social justice and equality. Since 1957, the Wurzweiler School of Social Work has been training those who are called to this field, preparing them to help repair and transform the world through group social work, community practice and advanced clinical practice with individuals and families.

Fieldwork is a critical component of our on-ground and online programs. For most students, this provides initial exposure to client work and helps in developing professional comportment. By practicing the skills essential to success in social work, students are better able to internalize and understand the lessons delivered in their classes.
